With reference to the letter from this Department of the 18th October, 1925, respecting Anglo-Japanese relations in regard to China, and to the memorandum by Sir W. Tyrrell dated the 26th July, 1926, concerning British policy in relation to Japan and Russia which has been printed for the Committee of Imperial Defence (C.1.D.Paper No.710-B), I am directed by Mr. Secretary Amery to request you to inform Secretary Sir Auston Chamberlain that with
a view to keeping the Governor of Hong Kong acquainted with the attitude of His Majesty's Government in regard to affairs in the Far East ha is desirous of communicating to him the purport of Sir W. Tyrrell's memorandum in so far as it deals with
the Far East.
